About the Conference
The African Federation of Sign Language Interpreters (AFSLI), in collaboration with the Rwanda National Union of Sign Language Interpreters (RNUSLI), invites interpreters, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to submit abstracts for the AFSLI Conference 2026.
The theme is "Advancing Sign Language Interpretation as a Tool for Inclusivity in Africa." Join us to contribute to a more inclusive future through innovative research and practice.

Submission Guidelines
Submit an abstract (max 500 words in PDF/Word) or a 3-minute video in Rwandan or International Sign Language. Your submission should include:
- Name of Presenter / Co-presenters
- Title of Presentation
- Brief Description
- Format: Poster or Oral Presentation
- Language: English, Rwandan Sign Language, or International Sign
Presentations in other signed languages may be considered upon request.

Important Dates
- Deadline for Abstract Submission: 15/06/2025
- Notification of Acceptance: December 2, 2025
- Full Presentation Submission: February 17, 2026
